Now more than ever, it is essential to maintain a high standard of cleanliness. We all know about Covid and the restrictions that have been applied to our lives since 2020 and keeping your home or property clean and hygienic is especially important in these unusual times.
Since the start of Covid 19 we have been adapting our approach to our cleaning and client work. Initially, like many companies, we paused all work and kept ourselves updated in relation to the Government Guidelines and advice.
As the lockdown restrictions changed, we found a way to return to work, using the Government Guidelines as a template to ensure we could once again work safely, keeping both our clients and staff as protected as possible.
Since returning to work we have been praised by our clients and staff. We are using PPE equipment as required and once again we are keeping many homes and properties clean and tidy.
Clean and Assist-our Covid 19 response and guidelines
We currently operate a strict system with regards to cleaning during the Covid 19 pandemic.
The system that we have devised is in place to protect both our staff and our clients. Since devising this system many clients have returned to their regular cleaning times and days and feel secure with our guidelines and safety advice.
Guidelines are in place for our staff and cover two main areas. Their personal health and use of protective equipment. Full details are provided to clients when they start working with us, but in general our staff will be social distancing, self-monitoring themselves for signs of Covid and using PPE on a regular basis when working in a person’s home.

We advise that in all situations we ventilate the room and property that we are working in and advise our clients to either vacate the property while we are there or at least locate themselves in another room.
Our staff are also checking their temperatures before starting work and monitoring themselves for signs and symptoms of Covid 19. If there is any evidence of Covid 19 symptoms or a raised temperature the staff member is instructed not to work on that day and if symptoms continue, they must self-isolate and get a Covid test.
We advise our clients to maintain social distancing, ventilate the property and/or rooms and if possible, leave the property while we are working and cleaning.
We are spending more time on cleaning high traffic “touch points” and making sure that these areas are disinfected on every visit.
We are also continually monitoring the Government Guidelines for advice on working in people’s homes. Our working guidelines are changing with new advice and guidance as it is issued so this is a work in progress and is continually checked and updated.
Our main aim is for everyone to be as safe as possible and hopefully with the new vaccine we will all be getting back too normal in the near future!
